Mobile phone, tablet, laptop, high speed internet, micro chip, smart phones, Facebook, Whatsapp, twitter, snapchat, if you try to explain a kid from 90s about these things he/ she would probably just look at you as if you are some from a different planet as those kids defined their world in different ways. Here are some of those particular things that only a 90s kid would understand.

Paper messages

Messages in those times weren’t like these days where you just sent a text to a particular person or group through your phone and everybody gets it in within fractions of seconds. Previously in the 90s people literally use to write down messages on paper and send it from one corner of the class to another and it usually use to take efforts to do that as passing a piece of paper without the teacher noticing it was a great deal of work.

Action playing cards

Before the social media era, people use to spend more time socializing in the practical world. They didn’t have candy crush and clash of clans. All they have was action figures and action heroes and their cards, the collection of which was used later to battle with friends.

Renting CDs and DVDs

At that point of time favorite movies weren’t available on the click of a button. People had to go to the CD and DVD store in order to rent their favorite movies.

Game Boy Niniendo

A 90s kid would always remember the first video game he/she ever played was ninendo game boy. Every 90s kid had that game at some point and that would be the best gift from parents to their kids. People would recall playing this basic game for hours.

Period of best cartoons

Cartoons in 90s other than making kids laugh had the capability to put them in to thoughts, lifted their imagination, and always came with a lesson. The best part was unlike today even adults use to enjoy watching cartoons, they would spend hours watching them.

Imaginations at its best

Kids in 90s didn’t have high resolution video games, social media, and lots of TV shows to follow. They simply had a lot of free time and abundance of creative things going into their heads. As a result they spent time giving shape to their imaginations and explored the world on real terms rather than going over the facebook and twitter.

Big Desktops

Kids from 90s would remember the first era of computers when they use to have huge desktops introduced in their schools. Laptops and tablets were even in the picture. One had to think for the space they had to make to fit that heavy big desktop after they purchase it.

Encountered the first cellphone

It was a big time for people then, as they were about to use a device that will help them call from any part of the world and will not be connected to the wire as they are used to. That was the beginning of the cellphones. It was a fantasy to be fulfilled at that point of time. Getting a cellphone was a big thing in 90s.

Spending more time in physical world

Kids today have a lot of things available that can lock them up in a single home or even a room. For instance video games, internet, computers and laptops, social media etc. These things do not allow them to go out and enjoy the real world. Whereas 90s kids used to spend a lot of time outside their home experiencing the real world and spending time in social surroundings. They are the ones who knew the meaning of hanging out.
