Tiger Shroff Roped In For Student Of The Year 2!

Karan Johar has made it official that Heropanti actor Tiger Shroff will play the lead for Student of the Year 2 to be directed by I Hate Luv Storys director Punit Malhotra. Karan took it to his twitter account for the official announcement. Soon after announcement, twitter was flooded with congratulatory wishes to Tiger Shroff and Punit Malhotra.

Punit Malhotra’s earlier two movies ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ and ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ were also produced under Dharma Productions banner. Now he is all set to create magic with SOTY2 along Tiger as the lead. SOTY1, directed by Karan Johar and was the launchpad of star trio Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra, and Varun Dhawan. The trio congratulated Punit and Tiger on Twitter in no time. Do check their tweets below. With the success of SOTY 1, second instalment of the franchise has created much abuzz. Rumours were earlier making rounds of SOTY 2 to introduce Ishan Khattar, Shahid Kapoor’s brother and Saif Ali Khan’s daughter, Sara Khan. However, Karan has put an end to rumours with this announcement. Surely all those expecting another round of high profile launches in Bollywood would be disappointed. However, the female lead still remains to be unknown.
