When you are in relationship, you must have noticed how your relationship grows and passes through varies stages from the time you like each other to the time you stay together. You like a person, you jolt up the courage to let them know, you are together happy in your honeymoon phase and then comes the comfort level and this is how it just goes on and on. Every relationship grows through intimacy stages. Here are 5 intimacy stages that will help you understand where your relationship is now.
1. Infatuation
This is the stage when everything is upper sweet and sugary and difficult to resist. Our hormones take over our logics and all we do is think about them and wait for their texts and calls and daydreaming. Infatuation affects your dopamine level which makes you seek sex again and again.
2. Landing
This is the time when your infatuation blind fold lifts up and you come into senses and vision the everyday reality. You may feel light and sweet or like being struck by something hard. But eventually you learn the reality and most about him. You notice his weird habits now which you were neglecting earlier.
3. Burying
This is the stage when your to-do list ends and your conversations focus on more real things that you are doing like laundry or your boss issues. In this stage, life begins to encroach your beautiful relationship. It shows that your relationship is real and exists in reality. You need to unbury yourself in this stage and do things that allow real life to take break.
4. Re-surfacing
This is the stage where you start re-valuing your partner and understanding their high points like their hotness and things. It is the time you start noticing the massive fights you resolve, your dates, your awesome sex, or anything. It is like a jolt that awakens us to the greatness of our partner.
5. Love
This is the time when you feel it is actually love because you have grown past so much together and still sticking by one another’s side. Here, the sex is usually better than it has ever been. True love blossoms around year five; the rest is a rotation, sometimes rapid and sometimes slow of the other stages.
