We all look for beauty hacks to save our time and money. Who would want to spend thousands in the salon when they can get the hair spa done at home or who will splurge on those expensive professional shampoos when you can turn your regular shampoo into a clarifying shampoo? There are so many beauty hacks we use and find appealing that we do not mind learning some more. Here are 10 weird but effective beauty hacks for every girl.
- Use baking soda for clarifying shampoo
Clarifying shampoo cleans your hair deep down, and removes all the buildup of products that accumulate on your hair, making your hair look dull and lifeless. Mix baking soda with your regular shampoo and it will work like a clarifying shampoo.
- Straight part in hair
Draw your comb through your hair from the forehead to the crown and do it as fast as you can. If you go slow and try to be careful, your hand will wobble and you will not get a straight parting.
- Lip balm on shaving nicks
Shaving nicks are really annoying when you have to go out. Use lip balm on shaving nick on your skin. It will stop the bleeding and help it heal faster.
- Let the mascara dry
While applying makeup, we all get a drop of mascara on the skin around our eyes. Let it dry first, then you can clear it off with the end of a cotton tip. This way mascara will come off without smudging.
- Use baby wipes
Use baby wipes instead of makeup wipes as they are gentle on your skin and cost way less. Baby wipes can remove makeup, mop up spills and you can even get small stains off your clothes.
- Natural looking wave
Using heated tools can damage your hair. So, to get natural waves put your hair into tight braids when you go to bed and leave them in all night. When you get up, loosen the braids, scrunch them with your hands and apply a little hair spray. This will give you beautiful, natural-looking waves.
- Baby powder for lashes
When you pull off false lashes, it can damage your real lashes. Apply the first coat of mascara and then dust some baby powder over it. Then, apply the second coat of mascara over it and you will have thicker and longer lashes. It is like the natural extension.
- Powered compact
When you drop your powder compact, it breaks into tiny pieces which make it hard to use again. You can save your broken powder compact by adding a few drops of rubbing alcohol to the broken pieces. Smooth the paste and let it dry overnight and you will bring your broken powered compact back into life.
- Last remnants of the lipstick
When you get to the end of a lipstick, don’t toss it away. Take your collection of worn out lipsticks and scrape the contents out into separate compartments of a pill box. Heat it up with a blow dryer until all the lipstick melts, place it into an empty lipstick palette, and you will have created your very own, homemade, lipstick palette.
- Band-Aid for French manicure
The rounded ends of Band-Aid can act as a stencil for the French manicure. Stick the end of Band-Aid on your nail with the rounded end pointing towards the tip of your nail but a little shorter in distance. Apply your nail polish and let it dry. Peel off the Band-Aid and you will have the perfectly shaped French manicure. Band-Aid with air holes too can work as a nail art tool.
