If you are from the 90s, you can relate to the nostalgic ride you have, now and then with your friends when you start talking about the cartoon shows you used to watch as a kid. We all know how our morning belonged to Cartoon Network and how we used to ardently sit in front of our TV to watch Noddy, Dexter’s laboratory, Popeye the sailor man, Thomas and his Friends, Bob the builder, Beyblade and other shows. Our innocent childhood was totally devoted to these fun, light hearted programs. Here are 12 cartoon characters from the 90s that make us hooked with them.

1. Popeye The Sailor Man

This guy was obsessed with spinach and it inspired many of us to eat spinach in the hope that we too will get the same power as he does. Our mornings belonged to how Brutus used to irritate Olive and how Popeye used to save his lady love.

2. Dexter’s Laboratory

The story about a high-tech geek who has a secret laboratory in the basement of the house and his nuisance creating sister Dee Dee, who keeps on destroying his experiments. His parents too were hilarious.

3. Powerpuff Girls

We used to love how Blossoms, Bubbles, and Buttercup used to fight against crime and evil in the city. It was a mystery for us about how does Ms. Bellum look like.

4. Tom and Jerry

This is the one I do watch even now. This was the never-ending game of hiding and seeks between the cat Thomas (Tom) and the mouse (Jerry).

5. Scooby Dooby Doo

The mystery machine with a gang of Shabby, Velma, Daphne, and Fred was a great team at solving mysteries and catching ghosts. And not to forget Scooby Dooby Doooooo!!

6. Pokemon

Our evenings were booked because we had to watch Pokemon as the clock ticks 5. The team of Ash, Misty and Brock started their journey to explore the world of Pokemon with some really cute Pokemon like Pikachu, Togepi, and Charmander. And not to forget our ultra-melodious Jigglypuff who used to send people into sleep.

7. Merrie Melodies & Looney Tunes

This show had hilarious characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Willie Coyote, Porky the Pig etc made us laugh every minute of the show. It had a lot of sarcastic jokes and puns which we were too innocent to understand.

8. Courage The Cowardly Dog

The courage that was named Sher Dil in Hindi, Ustes and Muriel used to live together somewhere. Strange and horrifying incidents used to take place and the poor dog that was not-so-courageous always used to rescue his family.

9. Bob The Builder

Tiny TV made our morning more pleasant with shows like Bob the builder, Noddy, Pingu, Oswald, Kipper. We know their theme songs by heart.

10. The Flintstones

Who thought that a working-class Stone Age man’s life could be this entertaining? Well, it was, and quite a lot at that. Yabba Dabba do!

11. Richie Rich

The adventures of this richi rich boy were just as so amazing, entertaining, as they were educating.

12. Recess

We all could relate to this amazing cartoon. A crazy lot of friends and their adventures during the recess time was always worth a watch.
