Our society has so many rules and guides on ‘how to be a girl’. As we grow up, our parents teach us the rules to be a lady and act like a lady. We are trained on how to behave, what to say, how to dress us and everything. But being a modern woman, we know there are certain rules that have no place in real life. Here are 22 bang-on rules of being the lady everyone admires.
- Dress to impress
Your dress should be tight enough to show that you are a woman and still leaving a lot to the imagination.
- You should know how to prepare at least one dish
There should be something that you can prepare quickly and that tastes yum. If there is a party at short notice, you will not like to serve chips and soft drinks only.
- Be a great host
Welcome people to your home and make them feel great. Be attentive and do not leave them on their own.
- Be prepared with some party stock
Have a well-stocked bar, snacks, and soft drinks at your place, so that you can entertain people easily.
- Say “Thank you”
No matter where you stand in the world; whether you own a company or are a housewife, you should never hesitate to show gratitude towards someone.
- Meet the friends you have not seen in a while
Take charge and plan a get-together to meet everyone.
- Stay calm if your friend is too drunk to handle herself
Try to be sober, so that you can look after her and drop her home after the party.
- Be happy for your friend’s achievements
Support them and celebrate their day, because you too will need them when it is your turn.
- If someone compliments about your dress, share the details about it if they ask you
Tell them from where you bought or if it is a sale purchase.
- Learn to forgive, if someone has hurt you
Do not hold grudges and try to forgive and mend things.

You should have at least one outfit for the job interview, for the first date, for family function etc., so that you do not end up looking odd.

Their decision has nothing to do with your life, so stop judging them.

You just need to be a good and understanding person.

You should never criticize a woman on the basis of her weight.

Hold the door for others or hold their heavy bag.

If someone offers help, accept it gracefully.

Do not make marriage a deadline. You will find someone when the time is right.

You too can pay and contribute.

Everything does not work out. Plans backfire, so have an alternative plan to rely on. Never lose your self-confidence, no matter how difficult the situation may be.
